The second round of the 2026 Ferrari Challenge Australasia series takes place this weekend at Phillip Island Circuit in Australia. The event will have two qualifying sessions and two races, with both ‌races scoring championship points. Each corresponding qualifying session will decide the starting grids, giving the drivers more than one chance to score big during the race weekend. Full Race Schedule: Phillip Island Round 2

The Ferrari Challenge Australasia schedule for Phillip Island follows the usual pattern of a typical Ferrari Challenge race weekend. The drivers will have two long practice sessions to acclimatise to the track before tackling their first qualifying session on March 28th. Can Enzo Cheng or Rick Armstrong make it back-to-back wins at Phillip Island?

While Enzo Cheng’s second race at Bathurst didn’t go to plan, the Ferrari Challenge Australasia driver looked like the man to beat in the opening weekend of the season. Cheng had plenty of pace, but Rick Armstrong wasn’t slow either. In fact, you could argue that Armstrong was the better driver at Bathurst - so it’ll be very interesting to see this battle happening again at Phillip Island. Personally, I think Armstrong will come out on top in the Trofeo Pirelli class.

One of the coolest storylines from the opening races at Bathurst was Richard Moore in his Ferrari 488 Challenge EVO. Despite being in the older Ferrari Challenge machine, Moore pulled-off some amazing results, and looked unbeatable in his class. I’m certain Moore will win his Trofeo Pirelli 488 class again at Phillip Island, but can he snatch an even better overall result this weekend?

What else is happening in the Ferrari Challenge series this weekend?

While the Australasian fanbase will be focusing on what’s happening at Phillip Island, the Japanese fans will be cheering on their Ferrari Challenge drivers. With Formula 1 taking place at Suzuka this weekend, the Ferrari Challenge Japan series is the “warm-up” event for the F1 sessions. This is the opening race of the Ferrari Challenge Japan season, so it’ll be interesting to see who can take an early lead in the championship.
