LE CASTELLET, France — Bradley Yates is your Race 1 winner at Le Castellet in the Ferrari Challenge UK series. His father, Gilbert Yates, crossed the line in 2nd, but because of a time penalty, he was demoted to 3rd, with Manuela Gostner taking the second step on the podium and snatching 2nd overall away from Gilbert. In the Coppa Shell class, it was Peter Hunter who secured 1st place, with Darren Howell in 2nd, closely followed by Christopher Beighton in 3rd.

My driver of the race from Race 1 of the Ferrari Challenge UK in Le Castellet is Peter Hunter. The Coppa Shell driver made up multiple positions when claiming a class win in the Coppa Shell class. Although he wasn’t threatening the leader, Bradley Yates, I believe his clean race craft and fighting spirit was deserving of the driver of the race award today.
